At Open Bible Baptist Church we believe the Bible is God's Holy Word.  We believe it has the solutions to man's problems.  That's why the Bible is the central focus of our services and our ministry.  The Bible is our authority because it is God's communication to man.  Through it we learn, not only who God is, but also how to worship, obey, and have fellowship with Him.  We learn of His perfect love and his care and concern for us.  The Bible says that a church with correct beliefs and practices is "the pillar and ground of the truth" (I Timothy 3:15).  We desire to be such a church.

We Believe:

• The inspiration ("God breathed out") of Scripture.  The Bible is our final authority for faith and practice.

• The tri-unity: God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

• The virgin birth of Jesus Christ.

• The sinfulness of man and his need for salvation.

• The redemptive work of Jesus Christ: His efficacious blood, His death, His burial and resurrection.  Man is not saved by his own good works, but only through his trust of Christ as Savior.

• The Second Coming: The pre-tribulational rapture of the church and the pre-millennial return of Christ.

• The eternal salvation of believers: Everlasting life.

• The responsibility of the local church to promote and protect the doctrinal purity of the Body of Christ, and to separate from willful error, false teaching, and sin.
